“Captain Raymus Antilles was a prince of Alderaan and captain of the Tantive IV, Senator Bail Organa’s personal ship. He was the son of former Senator Bail Antilles.

During the Galactic Empire’s rise to power, Antilles served the Royal Alderaan Civil Fleet under Organa. Following the execution of Order 66, Antilles helped Organa locate Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. Antilles transported them to Coruscant and later ferried Yoda and Organa to the medical center on Polis Massa where Padmé Amidala gave birth to twins, Leia and Luke. Organa ordered Antilles to wipe C-3PO’s memory to preserve the truth of their parentage.

Over the ensuing nineteen years, Antilles continued to fight for the fledgling Rebel Alliance. He personally destroyed six Imperial shipyards orbiting Kuat and participated in the mission which intercepted plans for the Death Star.

During the Battle over Tatooine, Darth Vader and his elite 501st stormtroopers captured Antilles and seized the Tantive IV. When Antilles refused to reveal the location of the Death Star plans, claiming that the Tantive IV was on a simple diplomatic mission, Darth Vader strangled him to death with the Force.

Raymus Antilles is of no relation to Wedge Antilles despite sharing the surname.”
