Now that LCD monitors are becoming more and more powerful, with quicker response times, higher contrast ratios, multimedia plugins, uber energy savings, I can really keep on going of why they are so much better than CRTs. I can be a nerd and really tell you why you should wait a little more (if you plan on buying an LCD now) but I decided that I’d talk about that maybe sometime in the future. Here I want to talk about what can we do with the old monitors that we have? I mean that is even if you have CRTs lying around. I unfortunately still have a CRT lying around, in fact I’m looking at it and I’m using it right now. It was the best CRT that I could’ve bought at the time when I bought my own and I still love it to death! But my eyes are set on a new LCD and my heart is pounding, recycling my blood to my body ever so quickly when I start to think about buying a new monitor. Now all I have to do is figure out what I can do with my old monitor (and I still have some lying around). This inspired me. I love art and I believe that this is the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen (computer-parts-related-art).

I think there should be an art museum dedicated to things like this, the more abstract art. I remember when I was sitting in the bus in Vancouver and I saw an art museum that looked pretty cool and I would’ve gone in, that’s if I had been driving. But it had amazing things outside to attract people to come in. Toronto should get one of these.
